In the course of travelling on the underground systems of London, Paris and New York, Mark Jowett became fascinated by many of the different characters he encountered and began to make up stories surrounding the passengers he would meet. Tubers is the imaginative collection of short stories that developed. Comprising nine short stories - three for each city - it is a startling and highly original picture of urban life around the world.
